Well... looks like we're all going to have to do a little cutting back this Christmas. But you know, even if there's no power and not as much food, at least we've all still got a good, solid roof over our heads. If you look at it that way, the town's been a lot kinder to us for Christmas than they were for Thanksgiving. I'm sure this is nothing we can't weather if everybody pitches in and helps each other out. Maybe we can set up a food bank or some sort of shelter. It's times like these when a community really needs to come together, after all.
[Early evening; door to door]
[True to his earlier sentiment, Dad is going to pitch in and do his part to make sure his neighbors are at least able to have something to eat during these rough times. He's always been a firm believer in preparedness, and thank goodness, because by now he's built up quite a stock of cream pies. There's probably a few hundred of them safely captchalogued away in his trusty wallet modus, so he figures he can spare a few here and there to feed his hungry neighbors. Dad will be going around knocking on every door in town on the first day of the event, hoping to share the wealth.]
Knock knock, neighbor!

[He steps inside, blowing on his hands and rubbing them together.]
Thanks. It's getting pretty cold out there.
[Dad draws the wallet out from his pocket and uncaptchalogues a chocolate pie to hand to her.]
I have plenty of other flavors if you don't like chocolate. And there's enough in here for the whole family if you think they'd be interested.

[she looks outside] It is getting rather cold out, but I enjoy the change in temperature, so much different than a desert!
[she leads him to the kitchen] How did you keep pies in your wallet? I don't really know the flavors of pies, which do you prefer?

I'll let you try a few different flavors, then. Try 'em all out and see what you like. As for how this works, it's called a fetch modus. Handy little thing for carrying around more than your arms can hold.

Oh! It's so sweet! I don't think I've had anything so sweet before!

It's one of my favorites.
